Homicide/Arson Investigation in the 3200 block of Woodland Drive, NW

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the deaths of four people in the 3200 block of Woodland Drive, NW.

On Thursday, May 14, 2015, just before 1:30 pm, personnel from the DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (DCFEMS) responded to a residence for the report of a fire in the 3200 block of Woodland Drive, NW. While extinguishing the fire, four people – three adults and a juvenile – were discovered inside. The occupants have been confirmed deceased. At this time, the decedent’s identities have not been confirmed.

The case is being investigated by members of the MPD Major Case Squad, with assistance from the Arson and Explosives Task Force.  The Task Force includes members from MPD, DCFEMS and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Police are asking that anyone with information on this case or anyone who saw a blue 2008 Porsche bearing DC tags DK2418, on May 14, 2015 between 10:30 am and 5:30 pm, to contact police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
