Homicide in the Rear of 5363 Clay Terrace, SE

Monday, June 12, 2006

At approximately 7:43 pm, on Sunday, June 11, 2006, police were called to the rear of 5363 Clay Terrace, SE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers located an adult male identified as 19-year-old Antonio Moten, of the 2500 block of Elvans Road, SE,  suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body. He was transported to the DC Medical Examiner's Office and pronounced dead.

Officers also found a second victim, a female suffering from apparent non-life threatening injuries. She was transported to an area hospital and admitted.

Her identity is being withheld because she is considered a witness in the above case.

The case is under investigation by members of the department's Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
