Homicide on Jefferson Street Reclassified as Accidental Death

At approximately 3:15 pm, Sunday, May 14, 2006, police were called to the corner of 9th and Jefferson Streets, NW, for the report of a man down.  Upon arrival police located 43-year-old Marvin Kemp Jordan, of no fixed address, suffering from an apparent head injury.  He was taken to the Washington Hospital Center's MedStar Unit and pronounced dead.

As of July 13, 2006, the above case has been reclassified as an accidental death by the Office of the DC Medical Examiner, due to an alcohol and drug overdose.
