Homicide Detectives Make Swift Arrests in Two Recent Homicides

Two suspects have been arrested in unrelated homicides.

Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Detectives announced that an arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of Sean Robinson that occurred in the 2500 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>Mozart Place, NW, on August 11, 2010. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>

 

On Friday, August 13, 2010, at 7:45 pm., members of the Third District arrested and charged 17 year-old Robert Givens of Northwest, Washington, DC, as an adult, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant charging him with First Degree Murder while Armed.

 

On Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at approximately 9:17 pm, units from the Third District were dispatched to the 2500 block of Mozart Place, NW, for the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Emergency and Medical Services responded and transported the victim, 19 year-old, Sean Robinson, to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

 

Detectives have also announced the arrest of a suspect in the stabbing death of Delando King, which occurred on August 8, 2010.

 

On Saturday, August 14, 2010, at approximately 2:30 am, pursuant to an arrest warrant, Detectives arrested 24 year-old Marcus McLean of the 200 block of Cromwell Street, Northeast, and charged him with Murder One While Armed.

 

On August 9, 2010, at approximately 6:15 pm, Third District Officers were called to an apartment in the 1100 block of 10th Street, Northwest, to investigate the report of an unconscious person.  When officers arrived they discovered a man later identified as 34 year-old, Delando King, suffering from multiple stab wounds and he was subsequently pronounced dead.
