Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting committed in the 1200 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>Crittenden Street, NW on October 23, 2009.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>
On Friday, October 23, 2009, at approximately 10:30 pm, officers assigned to the Fourth District responded to the vicinity of Georgia Avenue and Crittenden Street, NW to investigate reports of the sound of gunfire. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds lying in the 1200 block of Crittenden Street, NW. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department personnel responded to the scene, but they could find no life signs.
The victim, who has been identified as 44-year-old Nathaniel C. Robinson of the 1200 block of Simms Place NE, was later pronounced dead on the scene by a representative from the DC Medical Examiner’s Office. Subsequently, the body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
