Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred in the 800 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>Delafield Place, NW.

On Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at approximately 4:20 pm, units from the Fourth District responded to the 800 block of Delafield Place, NW to investigate the sounds of gunshots. Upon their arrival they located a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local area hospital where the victim was pronounced dead.
The decedent is identified as 16 year-old Prince Okorie of Northwest, Washington, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
