At approximately 5:02 pm on Saturday, February 4, 2006, police were called to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>2410 3rd Street, NE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival police located 35-year-old David Howard, of the 1600 block of 11th Place, NE, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body. DC Fire Department emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and found no signs consistent with life. He was transported to the DC Medical Examiner's Office and pronounced dead.

A 15-year-old male was also found inside the listed location suffering from an apparent non-life threatening gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was transported the WashingtonHospitalCenter's MedStar Unit where he was treated and released. His name is being withheld because he is considered a witness in the case.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
