At approximately 11:58 last night, Wednesday June 14, 2006, police were called to a courtyard of an apartment building located at 120 Irvington Street, SW, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival they located 13-year-old Deangelo William Borras, of the 100 block of Irvington Street, SW, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. He was taken to Children's Hospital and pronounced dead at 12:58 am. Also located at that address was a 32-year-old male suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was taken to an area hospital and admitted in stable condition. The name of that victim is being withheld due to the fact that he is a witness in this case.
At this time it appears they were approached by three males, at least two armed with a handgun, who began shooting before fleeing. The suspects in this case are only described as black males wearing dark clothing.
The case is under investigation by members of the department's Violent Crimes Branch.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
