Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch have identified the murder victim from the 1100 block of Abbey Place, NE as 29-year-old Kevin J. Turner, of the 1100 block of 6th Street, NE.
On Saturday, May 31, 2008, at approximately 1:30 am, police were called to the 1100 block of Abbey Place, NE to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located Kevin J. Turner suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
