Eight Guns Recovered during Arrests Made in the 300 Block of 56th Street, NE

At approximately 6:20 pm, on Thursday, June 8, 2006, Sixth District Auto Theft Unit officers, while on directed patrol, observed a 2001 gray Dodge Dakota truck, occupied by three people and parked in the 300 block of 56th Street, NE. Upon checking, officers determined the vehicle had originally been reported stolen in Montgomery County, Maryland, on April 28, 2006. However, it was later learned that one of the occupants of the truck was the legal owner.

Upon investigating, officers observed a crack pipe and loose ammunition. It was at this time that the occupants were taken into custody. A search of the truck bed led to the recovery of eight firearms consisting of two handguns, three rifles and three shotguns, plus some ammunition and a small quantity of drugs. The preliminary investigation indicates that the weapons were possibly taken during a burglary in Prince George's County, Maryland.

Arrested were:

  • 34-year-old Adam Keith Hamilton, of no fixed address. He has been charged with violation of the National Firearms Act, two counts of Carrying a Pistol Without a License, three counts of Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, Unregistered Ammo, and eight counts of Unregistered Firearms.
  • 37-year-old Severn Prisilla Jackson, of the 4700 block of Lancaster Court in Waldorf, Maryland. She has been charged with two counts of Carrying a Pistol Without a License, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, violation of the National Firearms Act, and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon.
  • 50-year-old Carroll Dexter Wills, of the 1600 block of Mason Road in Prince Frederick, Maryland. He has been charged with violation of the National Firearms Act, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unregistered Ammo, and three counts of Carrying A Pistol Without a License.
