DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department personnel responded to the scene and could find no life signs in one of the victims. This victim, identified as 21-year-old Miguel Angel Romero of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, later was officially pronounced dead on the scene by a representative from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia. The body was then transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

The two other victims, a 24-year-old male and a 21-year-old female, were transported to an area hospital and admitted in critical but stable condition. Their identities are being withheld because they are witnesses in the case.
