Arrest Made in Jason Liser Murder Case

A 20-year-old Landover woman has been charged with murder.

Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced that an arrest has been made in the homicide of Jason Liser, who was shot to death in the 4000 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?><?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = U1 /?>Minnesota Avenue, NE on September 13, 2009.  On Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at approximately 7:15 pm, 20-year-old Takia Vanessa Neeley of Landover, Maryland was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder While Armed pursuant to an arrest warrant charging her with the murder of Jason Liser.  Ms. Neeley was apprehended, without incident, by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and then was transported to the department’s Homicide Branch for processing. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>

On Sunday, September 13, 2009, at approximately 2:54 am, officers assigned to the Sixth District responded to the 4000 of Minnesota Avenue, NE for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, they located a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds lying in front of 4081 Minnesota Avenue, NE.  DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:35 am.  He has been identified as 32 year-old Jason Liser of the 6400 block of Glydon Court in Bowie, MD.
