Arrest Made in Gerald Monk Murder Case

A 20-year-old southeast man has been arrested.

The Metropolitan Police Department has announced an arrest has been made in the homicide of Gerald Monk.  Mr. Monk was found on Saturday, April 18, 2009, in the 1300 block of Barnaby Terrace, SE suffering from trauma to the head and body. 

On Friday, October 16, 2009, at approximately 2:35 pm 20-year-old Davon Ellis of Southeast, DC was arrested and charged with Felony Murder pursuant to an arrest warrant charging him with the murder of Gerald Monk.  Mr. Ellis was apprehended, without incident, by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.
