Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Screwdriver) offense that occurred on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, in the 2200 block of Adams Place, Northeast.
At approximately 8:00 am, the suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation. The suspect then brandished a screwdriver and attempted to stab the victim. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
On Wednesday, January 23, 2019, 49-year-old Kevin Cooke, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Screwdriver).
