Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Saturday, January, 19, 2019, in the 1900 block of Good Hope Road, Southeast.
At approximately 5:48 pm, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal altercation at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and attempted to stab the victim. The suspect was then apprehended by responding officers. The victim did not sustain any injuries.
On Saturday, January 19, 2019, 57-year-old Leroy Alexander, of Southwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
