Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Bank Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, in the 1900 block of 7th Street, Northwest.
At approximately 9:03 am, the suspect entered a bank located at the listed location. The suspect approached an employee, stated they were armed with a gun, and demanded money. The employee complied and the suspect fled the scene.
Pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, law enforcement officers in Prince George’s County, MD, arrested 19-year-old Johnny Adanuty, of Silver Spring, MD.
On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, Adaunty was extradited to Washington, DC, and was charged with Armed Bank Robbery (Gun).
