Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the 2007 shooting which was ruled a homicide that occurred in the 1600 block of W Street, SE.
On Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at approximately 10:15 pm, units from the Seventh District responded to the 1600 block of W Street, Southeast for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and transported the victims to a local hospital.
On Monday, September 17, 2012, one of the victims was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, an autopsy was conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner who ruled the death a homicide.
The decedent is identified as 36 year-old Kendall Mack of Southeast, Washington, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
