James Thorpe - Homicide Victim
Saturday, September 18, 1982
On Saturday, September 18, 1982 at 11:45 pm, 64-year-old James Thorpe was on duty as the manager of Ferguson’s Sunoco, located at 115 Riggs Road, NE, when two men entered the station and shot him to death. The two men then stole money from the gas station and fl ed, running north on 1st Street.
