On Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at approximately 6:10 pm, Mr. Sheldon Gordy was found unconscious in an apartment in the 1300 block of Nicholson Street, NW. He was subsequently taken to the Office of the Chief Medial Examinder (OCME) for an autopsy. On March 31, 2016, the OCME ruled the cause of death was blunt force trauma and the case was declared a homicide. The MPD seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information about this incident.
