Introduction: The Recruiting Division is responsible for recruiting qualified applicants for entry level, civilian, volunteer, and reserve officer positions. Recruitment campaigns are conducted both locally and regionally across the United States. Colleges, Universities, and Military bases are a few of the targeted recruitment venues. This Division primarily conducts pre-employment background investigations for potential employment with the Metropolitan Police Department. This Division is fast paced and has substantial work for students to engage in each semester.

Schedule: The office is open Monday through Friday; 7:00 A.M. through 7:00 P.M. Flexible hours are available.

Program Description: The Intern will work on various aspects of background investigations directed at individuals applying for police officer and civilian positions. Duties will include assisting with pre-employment background investigations, accompanying background investigators on home visits, and reviewing and validating information given by applicants with respect to criminal charges, finances, references, employment, and civil actions.
