Professional Development Bureau - Human Resource Management Division, Office of the Director

Introduction:  The HRMD is responsible for maintaining all of the personnel records for the sworn and civilian members of the Metropolitan Police Department.

Location: 300 Indiana Avenue NW, Suite 6061, Washington, DC 20001

Schedule: The office is open Monday through Friday; 9:00 A.M. through 5:00 P.M.

Number of  Citizen Volunteer Positions: One  

Number of Intern Positions: None

Program Description: The citizen volunteer will assist with administrative functions within the Records Management and Personnel Operations Sections.  Duties include sorting, filing, copying information to be placed in the official personnel folders; purging old personnel files and preparing them for transport to the Federal Records Center. Serving as back up receptionist to assist members with personnel issues; working with the Staff Assistant to set up files for the Office of the Director; preparing case files for transmittal to the Office of the General Counsel for litigation purposes.
