Introduction: The Corporate Support Bureau is responsible for the major administrative, technical, and business functions of the Metropolitan Police Department. Corporate Support coordinates the delivery of services in several key areas that support Department operations:

Schedule: The office is open Monday through Friday; 7:30 A.M. through 5:00 P.M. Flexible hours are available.

Program Description: In this program, the Intern will work directly with the Executive Director and program staff to develop and improve support service operations. Responsibilities will involve a variety of projects, including researching new and existing police equipment and uniform items, fleet management and vehicle maintenance, equipment acquisition, facilities project management, reproduction support services, mail management, security operations, evidence and property management, purchasing and contracts management, and the development of a strategic vision for long-term MPD logistics support.
In addition, the Intern will work on procurement projects, budget development, and special presentations. To participate, you must have excellent computer and communication skills, and be interested in the functions that support a major policing operation.
