In Memory of Officer Raymond V. Sinclair

Date of Death: December 28, 1934

My father was named after Ofc. Sinclair. He was the best friend of my grandfather, who was also a police officer. I had heard from my parents that Ofc. Sinclair had died in a motorcycle accident but never knew the details until I did a search on the web for his name. I was curious as to why my grandfather named his youngest son after Raymond V. Sinclair. As I read one article about him, it stated that he and his wife did not have any children when he died. I then remembered hearing as a child that my father was named after Ofc. Sinclair because he and his wife had been unable to have children and my grandfather wanted his best friend's name to live on. My father was born in 1929. Five years later in 1934, Raymond V. Sinclair died, but his name has lived on with my dad.
