Executive Office of the Chief of Police- Office of Risk Management

Introduction: The Office of Risk Management provides risk assessment, identification, analyzes, control, and financing direction, guidance, and support to mitigate the total cost of risk.

Location: 101 M Street SW, Washington, DC 20024

Schedule: The office is open Monday through Friday; 7:00 A.M. through 5:00 P.M. 

Number of Citizen Volunteer Positions: One

Number of Intern Positions: Three

Program Description: Interns will be reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing information related to audits and inspections of the Metropolitan Police Department. The work will also involve conducting research into best practices around employee safety awareness, risk assessments of various police activities and other salient areas. Interns will also assist with maintenance of databases involving risk management, outside employment and audits.

During a brief training period, interns will receive instruction on police procedures and risk management functions.
