Clean City Completes Winter 2013 Citywide Cleanliness Assessment Ratings
The winter 2013 citywide cleanliness assessment ratings are complete. With dedicated volunteers, we surveyed over 300 streets and alleys in the District of Columbia looking for litter, graffiti, damaged or overfilled litter cans and illegal posters. The streets and alleys selected are a sampling taken from each area in each ward. The information obtained was rated on a 1 to 4 scale with 1 being clean and 4 being hazardous. The extremely dirty and hazard ratings were reported to 311 and tracked for possible future follow up.
