Fulfilling the mission of the Metropolitan Police Department requires a variety of individuals who are not only interested in serving DC communities, but who also have unique skills, perspectives and strengths to apply to the work they do. By maintaining a workforce that is diverse and all-inclusive, MPD will continue to provide the District with the best possible response to community issues.

Discrimination in violation of the Act will not be tolerated. Violators will be subject to disciplinary action.
