First Quarter, FY 2012 Report Highlights
Workforce Development Outcomes
DYRS is now reporting new work outcomes for youth linked to DC YouthLink, including youth earning employment, youth maintaining employment, youth earning professional certifications, and youth participating in internships. In FY2012 Q1, fifteen youth (15) earned new, unsubsidized employment.
Educational Outcomes
DYRS is now reporting new educational outcomes for youth linked to DC YouthLink, including youth achieving a high school credential, and youth enrolling in post-secondary education. During the reporting period, seven youth (7) earned a high school credential.
Re-Conviction Rates
Re-conviction for a new offense is another new outcome included in this report. In the three Quarters since the agency began tracking arrests in April of 2011, 83 percent of DC YouthLink enrollees have been in community-based placements without being found guilty of a new offense.
