On Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at approximately 11:08 pm, William R. Mitchell was shot and killed while at the northwest corner of the intersection of North Capitol Street and Florida Avenue, NW (1600 block of North Capitol Street, NW). The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
