The Testing and Assessment Branch develops and implements internal promotional processes for sworn members, manages the written testing process for selection for appointment to police officer positions, and conducts human resources management research, including job analysis and criterion-related validation studies for sworn and civilian positions. The Branch is also responsible for ensuring that the performance standards and rating materials for the annual performance rating system for officers, sergeants, and investigative personnel are current.
